About the Event and Its Significance
Adl AlOula Law Firm had the honor of actively participating in the inaugural edition of Riyadh International Dispute Resolution Week, held from March 3–7, 2024. This landmark event—the first of its kind in the region—garnered global attention, attracting over 4,900 distinguished attendees from 79 countries, demonstrating the growing global interest in arbitration and dispute resolution in the Kingdom.
Key Sessions and Discussions
Riyadh Dispute Resolution Week served not just as a local gathering, but as an international platform featuring high-profile figures, including royalty, ministers from Saudi Arabia and abroad, and senior leaders from international organizations and the global legal community.
The event showcased 92 sessions organized by 105 entities, covering a range of topics through discussions and specialized workshops on the latest trends and challenges in arbitration and dispute resolution.
A highlight was the 3rd International Conference of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration, which gathered over 1,200 top-level participants from around the world to address vital issues and future directions in this field.
International Agreements and Collaborations
The week also witnessed the signing of seven strategic agreements, aimed at strengthening international cooperation in arbitration and dispute resolution. These agreements reflect the Kingdom’s forward-looking vision to become a global hub for legal excellence, support international investments, and enhance investor confidence.
Media Coverage and Impact
The event received extensive media coverage, with 309 media pieces published by over 39 local and international outlets. It reached an estimated 73 million people across social media platforms—further raising awareness of Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in the arbitration and dispute resolution arena.
